Porridge
Ingredients:
Oatmeal
Milk (or non-dairy milk)
Ripe banana (optional)
1. Put ½ cup of oatmeal into a pan and pour a little more than ½ of milk (or non-dairy milk) into the pan. Cook for about 3 minutes and stir occasionally.
2. (Skip this step if you don’t want to use the banana.) Place the banana in a bowl large enough for the oatmeal and the banana. Mash the ripe banana with a fork until it is completely mashed and has a cream like consistency (see picture above).
3. After a few minutes, the oatmeal should be soaked in the milk (or non-dairy milk) (see picture above). If this is the case, you can pour the porridge into the bowl with the banana.
4. Mix the porridge with the banana and add any spices or sweeten your porridge with, for example, maple syrup, honey, or sugar. (Tip: don’t sweeten your porridge too much, since the banana is already quite sweet)
